Thank you for reading the 41st DVD Catalyst Newsletter,   This week was still mainly MovieGallery week for me. Star Wars The Clone Wars Movie (2008) DVD

Star Wars The Clone Wars 2008 DVD 01

Reported by someone as being a picky DVD, so I picked it up to run it through its paces:

Moneyball (2011) DVD

Reported last night as being a bit picky, I converted Moneyball from DVD using DVD Catalyst:

Water for Elephants (2011) DVD

Water for Elephants 2011 DVD 00

Reported earlier today as only converting partially, I ran Water for Elephants through DVD Catalyst 4:

Apollo 18 (2011) Bluray

apollo 18 2011 bluray 01

Using DVD Catalyst 4 with AnyDVD HD, this Bluray converts fine, however, due to the movie was created, a small settings change is needed to ensue the best movie playback experience.

The Thing (1982) DVD

The Thing 1982 DVD 01

Earlier I converted the new 2011 version of “The Thing”, so I figured I might as well do the 1982 version as well:

The Thing (2011) DVD

the thing 2011 bluray 01

Using DVD Catalyst 4 (4.1.3.2), the new The Thing movie on DVD converts without any issues.

The Thing (2011) Bluray

the thing 2011 bluray 01

The 2011 version of The Thing on Bluray needs AnyDVD 6.9.1.0 or higher if you want to convert it with DVD Catalyst 4.
