So you picked up a nice Toshiba Thrive tablet, and figured that with such a nice screen, it would be great for watching movies on it. Unfortunately, there are not that many options to actually obtain movies for it. Of course you can watch videos from YouTube, but for new-release movies, you are tied to Google [...]
After playing with the new iPad 3 for a few days, I came up with some video settings for DVD Catalyst 4 that work really well for just about everything you want to convert.
Of course, after checking out the tools4movies.com website on the iPad3, to see what it looks like, I had to test video playback. Great screen, retina, sharper than 1080, all nice, but the aspect ratio of the iPad3 is its biggest let-down for me:
So you picked up a shiny Amazon Kindle Fire, and after playing around with it for a couple of days, you have realized that unless you use Amazon Prime and Netflix, playing movies and TV shows on it is a bit of a hassle. This week I have been putting some video-time on the PS Vita, and tonight I’m watching one of my favorite movies, Black Hawk Down on it. Because I get a lot of questions from people what I recommend for settings, I figured I’d write this small article on the settings I used for converting BHD.
