A small bug in 3.90 in regards of black bar removal came to light today, and was causing some major havoc with some DVD conversions “(FAILED)”. DVD Catalyst 3.90.1 takes care of these issues. In addition, the black border removal code has been tweaked a bit for better results.

Volume Maximizer: Global Settings > Advanced, enabled by default.
Normalizes volume to a percentage of the maximum value before distortion.
This setting overrides the volume setting completely. It basically makes all your conversions the same volume.
Rotate video: Global Settings > Conversion.
