A few days ago, someone brought Speed Racer to my attention as being a bit picky.
In order to convert Speed Racer, a small change has to be made in DVD Catalyst 4′s settings.
Start DVD Catalyst 4 without the DVD in the drive and enable “Power User” at the bottom right.
Then tap on “Global Settings” in the top left corner:
and look for the “Engines” tab:
Change the scan engine for DVDs from “original” to “Boosterpack”
then exit out of the settings by tapping on “Hide Settings”
and insert your Speed Racer DVD:
and wait for DVD Catalyst 4 to finish scanning the DVD:
then simply start a conversion using the Go button:
After the conversion is complete, DVD Catalyst will open the output folder, then connect your device to your computer, and it should appear on the right side.
Then drag the video file over to where you want to store it on your device.
I saved a picture from Albumart.org in the same folder with the same name of the movie and am copying that over as well so it will show up in MovieGallery on my Xoom.
if you get a warning message about the files, just tap Yes.
After the copying is completed, you can use the build-in video player to play the file, or if you use an Android device, you can use a file explorer app like Astro to find it and play it, or you can use MovieGallery.
And thats it for Speed Racer.
