While not officially released, based on the hardware, previews and rumours, it’s safe to say that the device will work nicely with video encoded using the HTC Touch Pro2 profile in DVD Catalyst.
Screensize as well as supported video formats are identical.

While DVD Catalyst currently lacks a profile for the Touch Pro2, of course it can rip DVDs and convert videos for it.
Just select Touch HD, and all settings are properly set for this device.
Most of the current/recent HTC models all feature a 800×480 screen, and can play H264 MP4 video.
