Congratulations to Videolan for finally reaching this major milestone.
VLC (Video Lan Client) has been in development for as long as I can remember. Over the last couple of years, part of it thanks to the well-known x264 (open-source h264) video format, VLC has grown to be in direct competition of all other free as well as commercial media players, and it has a cult-status similar to Firefox.
Congrats again for this great accomplishment.
