General

The General tab in DVD Catalyst’ Global Settings includes various options that determine DVD Catalyst’ behavior (how it works).

*Scan for DVDs on startup. This will have DVD Catalyst look for DVDs whenever it starts. (default enabled)

*Monitor DVDs on insert. This setting tells DVD Catalyst to look for DVDs whenever you put one in your computer (default enabled)

*Eject DVD when done. This has DVD Catalyst eject the DVD whenever the conversion is finished. (Default enabled)

*Open video folder when done. When the conversion is completely done, DVD Catalyst automatically opens the folder where it put the created video files. (default enabled)

*Run on Windows Startup. Start DVD Catalyst whenever you turn on your computer. Useful for a dedicated conversion computer, HTPC

*Start Minimized. When DVD Catalyst is run, it will be hidden in the task bar (next to your startbutton) for quick access.

*Minimize to tray. When DVD Catalyst is started, it will appear in your systray, next to your clock.

*Rightclick > Send to > DVD Catalyst. Adds a shortcut in the rightclick menu of windows. When you rightclick a file, and go to Send To, and select DVD Catalyst, the file will be added to DVD Catalyst. If it is not running, DVD Catalyst will be started.

*Shutdown when done. When DVD Catalyst is finished with conversions, it will shut off your computer, turn off the light and close the door. Eh, it just turns off the computer. Make sure programs you have running still have their documents saved.

*Save state on close. Save the conversion queue when you close DVD Catalyst. Handy if you have a few hundred video files, and want DVD Catalyst to continue tomorow. You can also save the conversion state using the menu in DVD Catalyst 3.

*Load state on startup. Load the saved conversion state to enable you to continue where you left off. If you stopped in the middle of a conversion, that conversion will be started over.
